Birth Trauma is invisible, memorable, traumatically challenging, and eventually liberating
Take an example: A new born baby, fresh from the womb, enjoying new freedoms but all of a sudden an emergency occurs in the birth room. The nurses are called away to assist the midwife and the baby is left alone for 30 minutes. During that time the child is distinctly distressed and feels abandoned. A minute ago everything was dandy, the birth had gone well, the baby was warm, washed and pampered. Suddenly there is clamorous chaos and the child is alarmed, the mother was moved away and the baby is distraught. Normality returns but for the baby there is a scar. The memory the child retains is a negative one “when everything is going well something bad happens.” Such patterns when repeated often become ingrained and established. The result is the baby grows up and typically collects a bunch of negative thoughts: “no one cares about me” “I worked so hard for nothing”‘ “I’m not appreciated” “Whatever I do goes wrong,” People do recover and the trauma becomes a part of their story and also remain part of their shadow.
This where a Rebirther is useful. Rebirthing is designed through breathwork to uncover the negative thoughts that limit the client, With observation The Rebirther has the training to replace the negativity with positivity. The breathing technique used will connect the client to the original trauma and show the breather that at the time of the incident they had a choice . Together the Rebirther and the Client will establish: safety, inclusion, confidence, security, success. Using affirmations and the power of the breath the new thoughts will establish, the client will experience a breathing release and regain positivity. Can now breath more fully and freely.
