In the first year of life a baby will have tripled its birth weight, produced milk teeth, mastered hand eye coordination, learnt to crawl, balance and walk. Can feed itself and gain social and relationship skills. Add to this will have developed likes and dislikes, found ways communicate with voice body and facial expression and begin to form simple words in at least one language.
In the years that follow the rate of growth and learning develops a rapid pace. The social skills become more necessary, the child will have to understand the boundaries set by others. There will be rivalry for attention and love, requiring a great need for understanding all round. Schooltime makes no immediate sense, playtime has all the attraction. The learning years stretch into the teens and beyond, the child will discover how to live with achievements and learn from disappointments. How to be alright with changes ,moving house or school, losing friends and family members. Staying healthy is an important requisite, keeping on the right side of parents, teachers adults in general. Resolving conflicts with forgiveness, generosity, kindness,patience and avoiding manipulation, trickery, deceit. Acquiring values of loyalty, honesty, steadfastness, a love of nature and many more skills talents and arts. All of this to eventually to gain independence, sustainability adulthood in a holistic way with The Right of Passage.
I don’t maintain that we have to learn the hard way but each time we overcome difficulties we release the limiting effects of trauma 90% of which can be directly linked to events in conception pregnancy and birthing.This is where breathwork and particularly rebirthing comes into good use. The breathing techniques used by rebirthers will bring to light unconscious thoughts and feelings even those felt before birth.
